well these are for the ladies in KL who requested them... hehe... seems temping ain't it? well nothing special for us living here in Labuan... we ate these like sweets... they are cheap due to the no tax policy here... but then the tax free policy here has made the people and the students resorts to smoking and drinking as a tension release method... and well... i do admit having one Jack Daniel's up in my locker, occasionally drink it, not heavy drinker but sort of just social drinker kind of stuff... but hey, there are some who drank till they were drunk here... and i think this is way too much... there have reported some suicide attempt here... police report were lodge and those students involved were hospitalized and all tht... we were told they ate panadols in their attempt... but the real story was they were drunk at those time and were unconcious of their act of stupidity...
anyway... my point is, the goverment should rethink about putting liqour and ciggarettes into the no tax category... i mean it does more harm than good to the people... its sad to see how a good student fallen into the trap and resorts to them as their way out... while its jus for tht moment... after they regained conciousness, the problem is still there... putting the automotives, the chocolates and also imported merchandised into that region to boost the national economy is a good move but in the midst making the profits, they should thinking about the locals too...
